What you have is a gas list of six gases, that can be used as diluents or OC. But why not use air diluent & let the Rebreather make the loop up to 32%? A question for your instructor ![]() JT whats another 115 pounds to spend as you can see early days yet many thanks and to the manual rocket |

| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: EVO on board deco software I dont understand why with a Trimix unit that you would use 32/0/68. This seems a waste to me. Sure you would want to reduce the N2 component or else you might as well use air as a diluent. Sorry if I am missing something. I'm not Trimix certified but am Advanced Nitrox certified, however to me Trimix is only valuable when diving below 40m. Using a high O2 mix means that if you need to bail out to OC then you are putting yourself in danger of a >1.6 pO2 situation if you use that mix. This limits your max permissible depth to 40m. Personally I would be more conservative and run a pO2 max or 1.4 but i know that when s**t happens that you push the limits but I wouldnt want to do that by design. If I bought the Trimix software (as I might) as and when I buy a Vision for my Classic then I woudl run it in standard mode (a waste I know) or else do my Mod2/3 and use trimix to dive in teh >40m range with full trimix. Sorry if I misunderstood your original question and confused the issue. I'm still only 1 year into rebreathers ;-) but 16 years of OC does have its uses. |

| Re: EVO on board deco software Maybe rocket is thinking of 32% dil as an advantage in an OC onboard bailout situation as long as the profile is within the MOD for 32%... ? -Andy |
