Inspiration Prices?

Hi All,

I have just bought a Inspiration and I guess I should have asked this questions before hand. What should I have paid for this package?

-Used Inspiration, 3 years old and has not been used in over a year.
-It has no ADV
-Unit has newer backlite hand sets
-New O2 cells
-Training manual
-The deal also includes training thru IANTD

Honestly, do you really want to know AFTER the fact ?

If people giving you a low price, you will not be happy. And no one will be able to give you an accurate price without seeing the condition of the unit.

ADV could be added easily (from AP-Valve or Oxycheq) for only a few hundred dollars. Training worth ~US$1000 so take that into consideration as well.

I don't really want to know after that fact BUT I have been hearing of Inspirations going at riduclously low prices. I'm not going to cry over spilt milk, I was just curious.

IMHO I don't think the prices of the used units have hit the bottom yet.

AP-Valve is still delivering the new units very slowly thus there is still a demand in the second-hand market. Once the new order queue is shorter and more people have their new units, the price should be much lower as more units will be available as well. Most are still hanging on to theirs to dive in the meantime.

I have seen units advertised for in the range from 2500-3000 British Pounds which converting to about 5000-6000 US$.

Prices differ greatly. IN depends on the reason the person is selling. I just sold mine 2 weeks ago quite cheap because I wanted to get the Evolution on order and needed the funds. The most important thing is that the unit you got is in good condition and is reliable.

So what's cheap? Care to reveal how much you sold for? I am watching this thread since I don't own one.

My unit had 12 dives on it, and ADV and I added weight pockets. I sold it for $5,500...I was really in a hurry.

Im posting another thread you may want to read regarding refurbed Insp.

There are several coming up around the £3k+. I don't believe they will plummet as there is still a supply/demand thing going on. That said, if someone want's to sell fast, bargains will be available... I did see an old one for £2.5 the other day... Ancient though...
