| Re: Negative test. The Dolphin 30mins + The Inspo has been a mixed bag so far. 30+ mins to 30secs but I am still finding the litle leaks and nuances of my new unit. |

I was wondering how long you guys can get your units to hold a negative preasure, at the minute i'm pushing my look at two minutes, but have never had more than 45mins on a good day, whats the norm for you guys. Give me an idea of what to be heading for. Cheers, Nick. I while back I did some repairs on my unit, did a pos and set up neg test, and I forgot about it.. When I went to my rig I found the hoses were still totally crushed..

Today during a test run, i had my buddy check for bubbles and he said he didn't see anything.... At least i've sorted the 'Y' out! ![]()

I tend to add manually on the way down anyway... During any dive the loop is at ambient pressure so I dont see the need to get too paranoid (I read reports of some people worrying when they cant keep a neg overnight!) A leaky ADV though will cause you to waste a lot of O2. But to answer your question, My inspiration = 3 mins (leak in T piece seal from new) My MK15.5 = 12hr+ What do we think about ADV's?? ![]()

Every 20-30 hours (or 4 months) of dive time I strip down the breathing hoses and C/L. I inspect then lube everything and I've never had a problem with the pos or neg test. |
