| Just packed Asorb Ok I know I have read this question before, and from what I understand the ancwer to my below question will most likely be yes it's ok. I got ready for a dive I was going todo today with one of my son's, setup everything to prefection (neg test even passed the 2 hour mark with flying colors). Just received a call this morning from him, he has a cold, so dosn't want to go today. So I decided to leave everything as is and go Sunday insted with my other son's if he isnt better. The Inspo manuel says not to use asorb if it has been in the scrubber (always dump it and put it in fresh). But I havent even used it yet to do even a pre-breathe. I feel it should be ok if I just leave it in the unit all hooked up, as this way it is not exposed to the air and is sealed (cant really see any diffrence in if it's in the scrubber all sealed up, or in the can). So what do you think, is it ok to keep it in the rebreeather all sealed up? Or should I waste it and dump? ![]() |

| Re: Just packed Asorb I personally would have no issue diving it on Sunday as long as everything is sealed up. Dive Safe. Mark |

| Re: Just packed Asorb I wouldn't be concerned either - would use it sunday, or in a few weeks if sealed until then.

| Re: Just packed Asorb Hi James I packed my unit up last Sat night ready to dive on the Sun. Woke up on the Sunday to be met with 8inch of snow and 3ft drifts, dive binned . The unit has been left sealed up all week in the house, i may be diving on tuesday next week as i am working all this weekend. If i dont dive on tuesday it will be the following week till i get to dive. either way i will use the lime as it is unused. The most i will leave used lime in the can for till i dive again is about 10days regardless of time left on the lime. Fresh lime i will leave it for a month at least with no worrys. | Re: Just packed Asorb What's the difference between leaving it sealed in your unit and leaving the remainder sealed in the container it came in? As long as it's new it will be fine. Me..however many.

Before the next dive I put it back together. The scruber monitor on my vision show me that it is OK to do it that way.Tom F. |
