| Rebreather carry handle I saw a stinless steel rebreather carry handle forsale on the internet and was thinking this would be way cool to add to my Inspiration. But was wondering just how they connect to the rebreather? Do you take the case off the backpack and install the handle from the outside to the case which is against the back? Any pictures on just how this would be installed to a Inspiration case? Thank you Je M'Applle "Jim Appel" |

No dissasembly required.Do you take the case off the backpack and install the handle from the outside to the case which is against the back? It's easy to catch on something. It would be nice to add one the surface for carrying around. But I don't want it in a wreck.Nice idea though. |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Rebreather carry handle Deep Bandits in Germany used to make a wide carry handle that wrapperd around the hoses. Plenty of pics of those floating around the net. Don't know if they're still in biz, though, their website hasn't been updated in ages. ![]()

Yep, but you gotta have the breathing hoses. Or Rebreather don't work...Nick That's like on the pic schford posted. That handset cord would be caught every 2 inches in some wrecks. I get in some tight places. Been hung up before. Don't get me wrong. I don't always have everything tucked. Just in some wrecks. If I don't know where I'm going. It's nice to be tucked well. That's why I run my HUD in my Breathing hose covers. So it's out of the way. Lines running to my wrist I like to run under arm and held by some straps that just keep it against the suit. Not enough to feel in the suit. That's the only problem I have with the Meg. That head is a octopus... Stuff coming out everywhere... LOL.. If the hoses came under the arms. Out the side of the head and lines the same or wireless like the Cochran. That would be sweet.. The head had a slope to it. So if you hit on something it just slid off... Have electronics viewable from the head. Buddy style. Hud comes under arm and close to the body.. Or wireless.. Just dreamin...LOL Guess it's just some DIR junk I like to keep with. Less stuff to get hung up on. I like the backplate. I went to a Rebreather full time so I wouldn't ruin my back any more.. LOL Just had back surgery Tue... The duals and 30 years of being an idiot bulletproof man. Kinda wrecked my back.. LOL Lifting full 55gal drums when they fell on there side... Ignorant stuff like that.. LOL It's a nice idea for handling. I'd like to see it easily removable. Have it for transit. Remove once in the boat. But, that's just my opinion... Some people won't ever need it like that... Also, why aren't Rebreather backplates flat now? We don't need the center to hook up duals. And get the can closer to the back. JRadomski had it right to keep it as close as possible.. I removed my STA that mounted to mine. Working on something else since I can't dive for a couple months... Might have to.... Well, I'll just wait before I let the cat out of the bag.... It's just my idea of a cat. Might have 2 heads. And I hate cats anyway... LOL... Rick |
