Inspo help wanted

Hi folks,
I'm hoping some kind person who lives near Reading is willing to help me.
=====Edit=====
Thanks to Matt at MR Diving for taking the time to talk to me at 7:30 in the evening about mouthpiece bits.
===End Edit====
I've got most of a very battered inspiration
I'm hoping I can find some kind person who will let me connect up my scrubber and electronics to their loop and solenoid hoses to check it calibrates OK before I go and spend £600 on parts (at the moment I've got the O2 but no way to connect it to the solenoid).

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Simon A

unfortunately I'm missing a few bits, I have the 1st stage but I dont have any of the pipework that connects it to the solenoid. I also dont have the loop hoses. I just want to test it before I go and order £600 of parts to turn it back into an Inspiration.

Just connect the oxygen first stage directly to the solenoid with a normal regulator hose, preferably from a Nitrox setup (02 clean).

Re: Inspo help wanted

oops,
cheers for help I hadn't realy looked at it because I'd put it away so I wouldnt be tempted to play....
I didnt realise it was a standard hose connection, have had a play, unit calibrates ok, and tracks air and other known gasses.

Thanks

I can really recommend the travel frame. so if you want to replace the cover, get a TF from Phi instead.
I have some experience from rebuilding two inspirations.
1. clean all hose connections in preferable an ultrasonic cleaner
2. get a spare o-ring kit for the hoses
3. make sure the ADV works reliably if it's incluced, if not get one
4. get a spare o-ring kit for the scrubber
5. check the edges of the scrubber. It is possible that the bottom part of the inner tube has te be glued again. It tends to come loose after a while and could cause CO2 bypassing the scrubber.
6. reserve hours and hours to work on the unit so it passes pos and neg checks.
7. replace the APD regulator-inflator with a normal one
8. get flow-stops for the ADV and your diluent regulator

Have fun,

Peter

Peter,
in response to your comments:-
I can really recommend the travel frame. so if you want to replace the cover, get a TF from Phi instead.
- Standard box ATM

I have some experience from rebuilding two inspirations.
1. clean all hose connections in preferable an ultrasonic cleaner
-What hose connections? all will be new
2. get a spare o-ring kit for the hoses
-on order
3. make sure the ADV works reliably if it's incluced, if not get one
-What ADV? new ADV ordered
4. get a spare o-ring kit for the scrubber
-ordered
5. check the edges of the scrubber. It is possible that the bottom part of the inner tube has te be glued again. It tends to come loose after a while and could cause CO2 bypassing the scrubber.
-Scrubber good
6. reserve hours and hours to work on the unit so it passes pos and neg checks.
-sounds about right, cant be worse than getting the homebuild to pass pos and neg checks
7. replace the APD regulator-inflator with a normal one
-What Auto air? It didnt come with one and I'm not buying one.
8. get flow-stops for the ADV and your diluent regulator
-ordered

Have fun,
Peter
- Cheers I will
Regards
