| Re: It's Here... OK First to Phi, Mine has been wet for 4 dives now with lots more comming. Mark has the right answer the 10/13s work great. No idea what the bending thing is about... They work straight out of the box. As for the length since I have no intention of putting anything on my unit larger than the 3 liter cylinders we cut the straps down and it is slick. The only problem I have and this is one I will talk with Phi about is the frame is just a tad small for a fourth cell holder and the new Vision electronics. Basically, the fourth Cell wire to the VR3 doesn't fit without extreme pressure on the wire beyond what I want. I plan to have my frame taken to my dive buddy's shop ( He does SS welding for a living ) and have him make a few very minor adjustments to get the necessary space for the wire. Other than that it's awesome.. Oh and it's way more comefortable on my back that the YBOD. |

Thanks, that's one combination that I don't think we tested since we didn't have the 4th-cell holder. However, I should be receiving my 4th-cell holder soon and will mount it on the Vision Inspiration to understand the problem you described better. Then we will work on a remedy for it. However, I would be interested in seeing what solution you come up with...

| Re: It's Here... how freaken cool!! the whole thing, i'm thinking of ordering two frames before the evo's even arrive. How hard are they to order, and how much? and would it be best to wait till we get used to the standard set up before we start we do have a couple experienced folks around here who could help us tear down and build up.i'm probably not being realistic about timing, my wife is still getting over the initial outlay...i should probably be more sensative about that...or not ![]()

I don't know how long before your Evo units arrived. If you have to wait for more than a few months, then I would suggest that you just wait for the units to arrive first. Most likely you will have to do the course with the standard configuration anyway - depending on your instructor. Or your instructor might be inclined to help in transferring to the new frames... Regardless, THIS is the site where you could find the details for the order later.

| Re: It's Here... Phi, Yes we are talking about the Y version of the 4th Cell from Delta-P and in my case the pressure on the wire from the unit is more than I want to trust. Were I to gues I would say the frame needs to be at most 3/4 of an inch taller to accomodate the wire. As for the rest. I had expected the drag to be way reduced which it is. OMG Thank you so much. But the real surprise was the comfort factor. It is so much more comfortable on my back and to dive with. Regards Jim |

| Re: It's Here... the travel frame was tested with the forth cell holder on the evo cannister and the classic cannister, but not the inspo vision (I didnt have one of those) and it fits if you bring the cable out between the top frame and the back vertical tube and bring the cable over your right shoulder. One problem that will compound this, if you have recently bought your cell holder, Kevin has changed the shape, it is now taller than before, but we didnt know that was gonna happen ![]() Dave |
