Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs.

Hi folks,

OK, so it’s that time of year, at least in good old blighty, where the diving season tails-off in the face of inclement weather, so I cracked-on with procuring a set of back-mounted lungs for my Inspiration.

A few details can be seen here

Please feel free to discuss or ask any questions.

regards
paul

Thumbs up Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs.

Just read through the article, really like how you integrated the manual O2 add valve. Very well done, using factory bits gives it a factory look.

Do you have by any chance a pic or two with with the bp and/or CL removed?
Am curious that metal box looks like and ties in.

Thank you. It also means replacement is easy - bespoke fittings would likely be expensive - it keeps it simple - why reinvent the wheel?

Basically, it's flat one side and fits a Custom Divers Backplate 'like a glove' on the other.

Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs.

Paul,

Ingenious. I like it. Are you sure there are no WOB differences? Its very hard to get it right in back mounted, ask Dave T!!

Well done.

Brent.

Hi Brent,

Thank you. I've dived the BM lungs for about 5/6 weeks - albeit without the o2 add, as that took a bit of time to sort out, and I havn't noticed a WOB issue. I'm not an expert, but it strikes me that the profile the lungs, being so close to my back/ top of the shoulders, is likely to be a key reason - IMHO of course.

Youre welcome to have a go if youre down this way - there are a few lined up already, but they might be there for a while - I dont want to give it up at the moment - you know what its like with a new toy.
