Does this mean that you're not going for the Boris?

Tough call, if my inspo keep behaving really nice like now, there is no need to change units.
IMO it's like a tool, if it can do the job, it's worth keeping.

But it does not mean I have to ignore other solutions or units. There are many ways to get the diving done.
The Boris still look very tempting.

Hi Mikel,

How did you get on with your kit? Mine arrived this week - thanks Paul for excellent service and a very good looking kit. I'm looking forward to trying it out, but I think I'll wait until the winter.

Cheers,

Hi Mikel,

That would be excellent - I'm summoning up the courage to think about doing mine, so any encouragement would be greatly received.

Cheers,

Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs.

Words of encouragement... Just do it, it works fine when you get the right counterlung volume dialed in.
A month ago my buddy and I tested it out on 70m dives. Nice breathing and what a relief to be without the OTS lungs.
Now I just wish the bailout tanks would somhow magicly be gone (while still retaining the safety of course)

Well, it takes me a week to start with the change and almost two days to start "chopping" the couterlung.

Now, i've been a few hours changing little things to feel comfortable. This weekend will tried it for the first time. Will see

Best

Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs.

Hey Paul, you have good reson to feel proud. I really enjoy the use of my rebreather now that the counterlungs are out of the way. Would not like in any way, shape or form to switch back to a unit with OTS lungs.

I made a dive three months ago, where my mouthpiece was leaking badly. Kept having to clear water from the exhale hose during the dive. After 110 minutes of bottomtime I finally got out, opened up the unit and found about 1½-2 liters of water in the exhale lung and about 10ml in the bottom of the scrubber. So the water trap still works the way it should with your BMCL kit.

You have done good !!
