| Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs. This is how mine ended up looking. There is a couple of D rings that has to go, together with most of the velcro. Really simple, takes about 10 minutes to do. The hardest part, is convincing yourself this is a good idea, before cutting away. |

| Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs. Uhm... don't forget about the DT BMCL that has been used for the last 2-3 years as well... Same tidy and no SS hardware needed between the unit and diver... ![]() Very nice job Paul! I agree DT BMCL is very good (Im diving it as you know) I am not sure why there is a need for a SS cage for the BMCL?? I find the best WOB is to have bugger all volume in the back part and all the volume at the shoulder - hence not sure of the benefit of SS cage - more weight (agghjhh!) to fly. And lets face reality soon nobody will be able to fly a rebreather anyplace that doesnt weigh 2kg ![]() I forget what I paid in excess to dive the LOT..something like...$3500+ and $600+ in excess luggage!!! - Screw that

| Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs. Hi Doc. I think that that is not a specific BMCL setup but just where he has placed the lungs behind the back in their normal configuration.Somethig like this... Jason Mallison 2001 Quite a few people were doing this around that time. Cheers, Dave Cooper.

| Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs. Quite a few people were doing this around that time. . But the standard inspiration lungs were HUGE! ![]() The purpose made BMCL Daves made is more tapered - fatter at the top (where it makes wob easier) and short - much smaller volume yet a better breathe IIRC (compared to my old inspiration lungs turned backwards) - but its subjective and it was ages ago (that I dived my Inspiration like that) so my memory may be playing tricks on me

| Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs. Hi Paul Your set up seems to go along lines of DIR set up ie. all slings on L hand side.Have you considered using shorter corrugated inflator hose over L shoulder attached to D ring on harness?Easier access to inflate&vent wings in one fixed spot&can get rid of dump knob over R shoulder.Dont have to fumble around sling tanks looking for inflator button at your waist.Works well if you need it in a hurry eg in caves etc.or on ascent. | Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs. As all six now being offered by 'Mr-I-Will-Undercut-Cooper-Channing' anyone else who wants a set can have my un-opened lot from the last run here:http://www.rebreatherworld.com/rebre...-kit-sale.html Price is what I paid, £350. As there are never going to be anymore, this original unused example of engineering genius is worth what I paid for it........ or not....... Channing you bastard. Only joking :-) Apparantly I cant green you again Dave. Sorry mate, what can I say? I'll console you one day in a pub - I get the feeling it might be expensive though. Anyway, you shouldn't be so lazy and sort out an Inspo. Slacker. That made me laugh btw ![]()
