Howard,

There are several different ways to allow the option of using off-board. They range from using AP GCS connectors to Swagelok QC connectors...

Thumbs up Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs.

hi guys if you need to plug in off board you can use pauls kit and just add one of mine which will put the button back in your hands
http://www.narkedat90.co.uk/41.html this will plug straight in to pauls T or in to the lung.
mr channing 10 kits coming your way tomorrow!

Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs.

John,

I wonder if your invention could be used to add dil or offboard gas into the KISS, directly on the manifold.

I started a new thread HERE

That is a nice bit of work John. Kind of like baby boris gas blocks but at a fraction of the price.

Good man, I get paid on Monday so I'll square you away then - a few more payments to collect, but that is in hand. Then its just the stainless to be finished, the lot assembled an QA'd. Shouldn't be long now chaps.

Cheers
Paul

Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs.

Patience, good things come to those who wait!

Things are moving, albeit not as quickly as I had hoped. I have had some troubles with the stainless fabricators. But that should be concluded shortly.

As you can see...

..things are moving along. I have some work to do on the T-pieces to finish them off.

Incidentally, here is the list as it stands regarding payment:

1. rob.laurie Rob Laurie PAID
2. AD_ward9 Alex Deas PAID
3. Decodiver Dave Cooper PAID
4. Johnny Christensen PAID
5. Jeff Wildermuth
6. Johnny Christensen on behalf of Tom Poulsen PAID
7. Howard 'Diving Dude' PAID
8. Denzil Wessels

Thank you to all those who have paid.

Can Jeff and Denzil, please forward monies to secure your kits.

As you will appreciate I have proceeded in good faith, not having secured all the monies up front, which was the deal. This is currently costing me money, which I can stand in for, but not for very long.

I have other interested parties and they will be sold to whomever comes up with the cash.

I anticipate approx. 2 weeks for delivery.

Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs.

Right, *sighs* a slight technical hitch:

We, the fabricator and I, agreed to use 16 gauge stainless for this batch (1.6mm) however, this morning I found that it is unacceptable in terms of rigidity.

The last batch was 2mm and is very stiff and we really did not expect the reduction in material thickness to be as noticable.

Obviously, I will not send out sub-standard work so I will be getting a 2mm box made up in the new design before getting all the rest done...

Its not all bad though, the fabricator only made 10

Re: Paul C’s Inspo with back-mounted lungs.

Tonight I went to do my first positive test with Paul's kit installed and found both counterlung plugs for the old manual add valves were leaking. The caps(plugs) that Paul is using have two orings, I spent a couple hours taking the lungs apart and trying everything to get a good seal.

Has anyone had this problem, what did you do to remedy it short of making new counterlungs without a hole in them to plug....?

Hi Rusty. I supplied 2 orings, as spares, and these are for the T-piece converter to T-piece. The manual add valves, whether in the converter or on the old 'original' fittings have just one o-ring, an APD one, which is considerably fatter. If you have my converter o-rings in the old manual inflater blanks, it will leak like a sieve. You ought to have the standard APD o-rings in them. Either this makes sense to you or it is not making sense to me. Please post a picture to help ascertain what the problem is.
Cheers
