Inspiration + Backplate + DiveRite RecWing = ??

I have a spare RecWing in good condition and I'm thinking of replacing the APV 16Kg wing. Anyone diving with this combination? - Pros and cons?

I'm about to put a Halcyon Explorer wing on mine............think i'll send some pictures to GI3 and get his opinion.

I did it and liked it. I found it gave better trim - which is why I used it.

It's a good choice,
in the change between two jacket you have only advantages

If you fully inflate the wing, the Rebreather case (that black thing) tends to flex backwards. This because the case is slightly softer than the plate and the wing expands in the easiest direction.
It won't brake but it looks a bit brutal....

I've done it and like it. It took the wt off of my wt belt. Of course that was only 4 lbs diving a 3 mm wetsuit in 84f water. Much better trim. I'm getting ready to put a Portland BP on the inspo.

i put a custom divers wing on mine found trim much better

I fitted a Diverite Recwing and Backplate, drilled another hole nearer the top of the plate to lift the unit higher and improve trim.

Seems to work fine although cant comment on the wing pushing against the case as have not yet inflated it in anger. looks OK dry though. I Really dont see a problem with it Probably find out in the Red Sea next week as we are going sans drysuit.

Hope its not too cold.
