We could get into a REALLY extended discussion about test results, and the meaning of them based on various criteria, but the up-shot is that Martin believes that the "problem" is over-stated, and that the test results show that to be true. This is based on a recent study done for him by the same folks who did the CE work, and some testing by an independent lab. "C'est la bloody guerre!" as you Brits are wont to say!!! Rob

Stuart,Stuart The development and constuction process was too far down the line when the poo-poo hit the air re-circulation device recently. He would have IF the testing process had shown it to be a distinct problem, but it did not. Hasn't slowed the sales of the units, that anyone can tell. There are a LOT of Inspo's out there, and more arriving daily, as they say. "Film at eleven!" Rob

It's got a pretty yellow cover, that's all they needed so far. I'm pretty sure they needed to recertify because it's an all new head design with completely different electronics. They may have done it by certifying the Evo with it and (with most evertything being about the same, just smaller) allowed to add it to the Inspo. If the NAVY's warning wasn't good enough the Cayman incident should have been. It's not a new concept and it's not rocket science. "Too far down the line" neither excuses the stupidity of having it there in the first place, nor not changing it for the new head.

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Water leaking straight into the head through hose fitting. Battery accid made for a nasty caustic cocktail. PM me your e-mail, the guy who reported it asked it not be published publicly.
