Thanks Hi Rob,Rob I'm just a couple of months further along in the process than you are, and I just had to do all the same research and make the same decisions. I ended up choosing the Inspiration Vision, loaded. I did so for all the same reasons mentioned but also one more that I don’t think was mentioned. The Inspiration platform has simply been around the longer and is very much battle tested, so to speak. Even though AP dive has some very rigorous and thorough testing. I got a chance to really compare most of the units out there at DEMA (minus the Prism) and AP diving was the clear choice. The only other thing is that the Evolution just has less of everything except price and quality. I just didn’t feel the need to go compact. As for size, I'm 5'11", 230lbs and usually dive with double 119' steel HP tanks. The Inspiration will actually be some what of a lighter load. That’s all I can really add to the discussion as I am still awaiting delivery and am new to Rebreather's but I hope it helps. Chad Last edited by Mariner : 30th January 2006 at 21:14. |

| Re: Which one??? Hi i have an inspo with vision, my reasons for going for the inspo over the evo as mentioned by others was purely for the bigger bottles and scrubber most of my diving is 50-80m region in UK waters and for me the inspo was the better option (get between 2/3 dives from a fill (so weekends gas diving is taken care off), and longer scruber duration) and it is also the same price as the evo. And judging by the no. of vision inspos i have seen compared to evo's most people think the same, at Dotty alone this weekend i saw around 7 inspo visions, god knows how many classics, 1 Meg and a big fat 0 Evo's. Also height of the unit for kitting up. At 6ft tall the inspo suits my frame better than the evo. As for the temp stick option, get it you wont regret it. As stated by others once you have it you wont want to dive with out it.ATB Gareth Last edited by Depth-junkie : 30th January 2006 at 22:44. |
