Just don't keep it out in the direct sunlight to dry with the rest of the gear when visiting tropical destinations. |

| Re: lightweight back plate I hope to have a copy of the carbonfiber backplate soon as well, and will let you know once I have a few dives on it.

| RBW Member ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: lightweight back plate I am looking for a light weight backplate for my meg - warm water diving. My problem is that I need a shorter backplate, so that my meg does not sit so far down on my back which effects my trim. Any ideas? Is there a quite a difference in pricing?

My problem is my wet suit, the bp sits below my waist and after an hour of diving it seems as though it is cutting me in half. So I was thinking if anyone was making a lightweight bp for a short torso, that would be great, any ideas![]()

| Re: lightweight back plate I use an black anodized aluminum plate for wetsuit diving or airline travelling with my KISS. I think it came from Oxycheq. I've had it for about a year with no sign of corrosion but the anodizing has worn off in places. With a drysuit, it makes me slightly underweight during deco so I prefer my steel plate for drysuit diving. JimG Tampa |
