| Gallery Administrator ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | I was told that the exhale hose to the cansiter only had a signle O Ring where it attached to the canister. As such I was advised never to remove the hose - which I never have I had to remove Lou's hose when I sent it off to APD and when I looked there where two O rings now as this is a vision scrubber is this new or where there always two O rings (I have a classic). I'm not looking at mine cause it will probably leak if I do ![]()

As such I was advised never to remove the hose - which I never have the fitting for the exhale to cannister internally is the sae as the one that goes to the t or top onf the cannister, the difference is the securing ring.. If its not necessary to remove it, Don't.. If your careful there is no reason thats prevents you from removing it.. The warning you received is a good one just a bit harsher than it should be.. The instructor should have explained his reasoning and that it can be done if you are careful..
