I was wondering if I moved it down would it alter my trim ie move my head down? due to the change in bouyancy distribution? The other thing is would it affect WOB at all?

I don't see why it would affect your WOB. You're just moving the can down a tad. No real change in hose length. Personally, I liked the bolts up high to offset the heads-up buoyancy of the YBOD. Also I stuck a 1.5 lb ankle weight in between the can and manifold- under the cover. That way I only had to use 4 lbs in the weight pocket. |

This happens when people start stuffing a whole lot of weight in there and the velcro gives way. Some folks have attached permanent weight there. Again, my preference is to stuff a few ankle weights (if necessary) on top of the canister, under the manifold. For me, that was often too much with the 4lbs (2 kilo) inside the weight pocket. |

A lot of the guys we trained needed quite a bit of weight up near the top of the lid + sometimes even two to three ankle weights stuffed in there. Tell us how your experiment moving the can works. |
