You could sandpaper the inside of the scrubber a little, but this would definately invalid your warrenty.

I know where i would be on tuesday if i were you.

Hmmm, I think AP will be getting a call and maybe a visit one way or the other about this and my nightmare timing issue

Jesus! I glad I got a Kiss - I thought very seriously about an Inspo or Evo.
I'm not that familiar with the unit not having handled one much myself just seen them around. It just sounds like they have made two components that are not a matching size - surely if its a tight fit without an O-ring you won't have a hope in hell of it fitting properly with the O-ring!
I wonder how much size variation there is in the canisters, a different example might sort it.
Get it back to AP and stay with them until they sort it out!

Or quote the sale goods act (not fit for the purpose for which it was sold), get a refund, and buy something else. The Kiss is nice...

i know this wont help, but i have just got back from my first days diving with my new vision inspo. stripping the unit down and taking out the head/scubber i was expecting a mamoth battle. But it came off a doddle hardley any resistant at all, really easy.

Maybe i have got lucky and just got a good un.

Hope you get the problem sorted asap.

Louby Lou, don't put it off any longer. Get down to them ASAP (when they are open) and have them sort it for you, while there, or hand it back there and then for refund.

They should be able to sort the bucket to head problem on the spot with either another bucket or head.

Then all you need is the trimix code so you can go diving.
You were using 20/1/79 weren't you.

Don't wait any longer.
I have a feeling it will be easily fixed when you are there in person.

Lou, I think lube is the answer..
then it won't hurt Mr Parker so much when you stick it up his A*se!

Lou,

I have found that my lid gets stuck only when I apply more pressure to one side than the other. When removing the lid I need to apply equal pressure on either side so that the lid comes straight out (up). If one edge lifts before the other the lid gets stuck in its crooked position. To solve, I push the lid back in place and try again.

I don't consider this to be a problem as I have always been able to remove the lid. It's a nuisance so sure but certainly not one I will switch to a meg for.

Perhaps I've been lucky or perhaps I haven't put as much wear on the lid. I hope time doesn't prove me wrong.

Unfortunately, the head and canister gets well and truely stuck fast on there!
When I put the head and canister together, I ensure that equal (well as equal as I can be) pressure is spread across the lid and that it is not put in at an angle etc.

Unfortunately, taking it apart again is a nightmare; and not only have I tried it but also a number "macho" men who still can't get the thing to budge

Looking at the measurements that we have the difference between the head and the canister should be about 1mm... mine is less than 0.5mm, a small fraction but a small fraction that is making life a pain in the backside and pretty unpleasant. Particularly as my fingers have been cut to pieces sometimes due to the underside of the head/ fingerholds for removal!

On top of this the level of service I have received from the company on another issue beggars belief!! With all the other issues, I hate to say it but another unit looks a better option!
