Have tried a different o-ring but again no joy...
Also the o-ring actually goes into the canister...

Just a normal amount, enough to make it "slimey"... have just re-lubed it and it doesn't budge

Try this...

Put some lube on the OD of the spacer
Put more lube on the o-ring above the spacer
Lube a little bit on the ID of the scrubber base where the spacer and spacer o-ring come in the contact (almost 1/3 from top)

Also, are you able to push down on the spacer to compress the spring underneath the sorb container ?

I just want to make sure that everything underneath the lid will compress and stack up OK.

Try turning the O ring over, it maybe not perfectly round edged!!

It does go together after that... just but with a fair bit of strength behind it, more strength than I have... it only just comes apart with 2 of us working at it....

Yes, been able to do that all the way through... it feels/ looks like the canister is tapered part of the way down which is causing the restriction/ block...
