The other reason you are barking, is those handsets are very prone to hanging. That is, displays normal, no alarm, but O2 injector will not do a thing because processor has hung.

I can demonstrate this happening on your unit in about 10 seconds flat. Or you can try it: put a power supply on the batteries, just take it down a little and back up is one way to cause a hang. Lots of other ways.

Remember, mean time is mean. In this case, the median is below 20 hours. So doing 700 hours on it, you are right out on the edge of that statistical distribution. I would never dream of using that unit without the upgrade to red backlit handsets.

I love the expression, "if it ain't broke..don't fix it". I'm just glad that Henry Ford didn't think that way, or else we would all still be driving Model T's!!! That would take a long time to get to the dive site, now wouldn't it!?!?
