| Inspiration 29cf cylinders? Cavesekeer7 on another board wrote this: Quote: "In Europe 3 ltr high pressure tanks are available that fit the Inspiration, they have 29 cft rather than the 20 cft sold in the US." That particular board is owned by a bunch of male hating radical left wing fascists (ok, so I held back a bit) so I can't ask there..I have original AP cylinders rated at 232 bars which I understood was about 19-20 cubic feet.... Who makes 29 cf cylinders for the Inspiration and at what bar is this volume? |

| Re: Inspiration 29cf cylinders? That would be 300bar 3 litre cylinders. If I remember corectly one cubic foot is 27 free litres? 300 * 3 /27 = 33 and a bit cubic foot, but by the time you've accounted for the deviation from Ideal gas laws at that pressure, it's a little bit less than 33 Cubic foot HTH Simon A |

The actual conversion is 1 cuft is 28.3168467 liter at standard temp

I have a Faber 3L/300bar cylinder that I use as a clip on air pony when I am Rebreather no-stop diving with somebody on an OC single. It gives me something to hand off if they have a problem. It is almost exactly the same size as the YBOD cylinders but, naturally, I'd have to change the valve to fit it.I confess I wouldn't bother because the little bit of extra duration is insignificant. I fitted a reg on the O2 and I think that buys me far more in a no-stop bailout situation. If it's not no-stop I have a 7L of something along. Oxygen - I have routinely pumped this to 300bar. Slowly and carefully I admit and I clean my own kit but, naturally, that doesn't say it would always work for everybody.
