| Re: feedback on Decoweenie travelframe OK, OK... No, nothing as exciting as those since I spent all my mid-life-crisis money in Rebreather's already... Just a boring SUV to roam around in the desert...

| Re: feedback on Decoweenie travelframe Phi, I like the frame nice and sturdy and light.. Too bad its just slightly too long (for a 1 piece unit its definately the smallest it could be) for a standard carry on bag (but you probably could get away with a small duffle bag on most airlines).. about the only "improvement" I could see would be to have the lower section as a seperate bolt on piece.. it should still be strong and would only require one more square section added and a few holes.. I think it will replace my Titanium frame for all my warm water travel diving.. I'll still stick to my heavier frame for cold water and local diving..

| Re: feedback on Decoweenie travelframe Joe It should be ok for carry-on luggage, we designed it so it was 22inches long thats the alowance for most european airlines, at least it is on the ones I travel on hence the length is a compromise between easy to kit up in and easy to get on the plane. glad you like it Dave |

| Re: feedback on Decoweenie travelframe May I ask, has anybody tried taking it as hand luggage? From my experience trying to take lumps of steel through the x ray machine tends to cause problems. F |

I find I get away with alot more in these style bag than with duffle style.. The largest pullman style are 22inches in height (most are 20 to 21 inches), but the frame is slightly bigger than 22 inches.. (also in this height specs they generally include the handle and wheels, so take another 1.5 inchs (or so) of usable room off)

| Re: feedback on Decoweenie travelframe I received my frame yesterday and it looks cool. I had to start rigging it immediately! No here comes a couple of questions: Which height should I mount the gas-block? I am guessing it should be as low as possible to get enough room for the exhale hose connection on the scrubber basket. I had the difficulti that the exhale pipe on the scrubber pushed the top part of the scrubber further from the case. Because of that it was difficult to put the lid on the frame. JH Finland |
