| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Smaller YBOD Counterlungs Has anyone tried to use MSR bags to replace the existing counterlungs in the YBOD? Option 1: I was thinking of taking a MSR bag and cutting the appropriate holes in it to install the YBOD fittings. Then take the C/L cover of the existing C/L, pull the stitching out and tailor it to fit the MSR bag. Then attach two fastex buckle to the cover, one at the top and the other at the bottom to make it easier in the assembly/disassembly of the unit. The one thing I'm not sure of is if the opening in the MSR bag used to fill it will be easy to seal. Option 2: Keep the existing C/L's but just take the liner and tailor it so its smaller. I'm thinking if the liner is smaller it would reduce the size by not allowing so much gas in the C/L. Thanks, Scott |

| Re: Smaller YBOD Counterlungs Option 3: Restrict the outer case to minimize the expansion volume if you want to reduce the "size" of the CL.

OK, we are using different nomenclatures. I am using inner bag (CL) and outer case (cover). That's how all dive wings are done. The inner bag will be larger in full volume than the cover. This way there is no stress on the seams of the inner bag when the wing is fully inflated. Quote: BTW did you sell all of your travel boxes? There should be a couple left...
