Alibox and armadillo

Does anybody have experiences with the alibox and the armadillo sidemount kit??

I believe (not sure on Alibox) that several people with the aftermarket frames are using the bottom portion of the upright legs to clip off the bottom of the tanks instead of installing the butt plate from the armadillo. If you can do that its then easy to fabricate the tank valve bungies that need to attach on the backplate near your should blades.

Hi,
I have an alibox and clip the tanks onto the lower frame.
Also have a large crotch strap, put a sideways-pointing d-ring on the crotch strap (just below where bottom of the frame , ie. right on my arse) and clipped tanks onto that.
Thought about the Armadillo but noticed that with the protruding rail bars directly under my arse, they are going to get worn flat/ torn sitting on a rocking boat (also incredibly uncomfortable having a steel bar poking you in the arse with 30-40kg on stuff on your back).
I tried a custom diver 90deg bouble d-ring but found that the d-rings sticking out (they are at a 45 deg angle to the strap) got bent flat as I sat on them....
Note that, unless the lower bottle clips are very loose it is hard to sit down with tanks clipped on close to your arse....sorry!

Thank you for your answer!
Yesterday i mounted the armadillo sm. and it fits perfect. I've shorten the standbar 1,5 cm.
It is a dream to dive!
Like you have no tanks with you.
I mostly do freshwatediving without a boat so i dont mind about sitting, i'm clipping on my tanks in the water.
