| Cylinders Does anyone know of cylinders that can be used with the Insp. other than the Faber ones from AP Valves? Those cylinders are outrageous in price!!! And the valves are as much as the cylinders. Although more buoyant, aluminum cylinders like the ones in the Prism would be much better...and easier for travel

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Mike, doesn't Rusty have alu stages you could try? See if Drew's fit, or Matt's if you know him. I for one prefer steel tanks onboard for bouyancy. The price is a setback, don't know why they are so expensive. I remember seeing ads for full sized steel tanks in German magazines that cost as much in Mark as they did in Dollar.

| I dont know if Rusty does. I have some q's for him anyways, ill ask him tomorrow. I agree with the steel over aluminum...but when I travel, Id really like aluminum. With all the camera gear, the Rebreather and everything, I paid over $200 extra each way to Fiji. This would at least lower the weight on one bag ($75 extra for that bag)

I suppose they must have moved over to the Roths to get the unit weight down (the smaller Roths weigh less than the Fabers but the larger ones weigh much more) and as they are easier to order in small batches.

| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | I've got 4x Faber 3L cylinders (the original 2, and 2 from Go-Dive - which were yellow, not white) and also have 2x Roth 3L's rigged as side mounts when I need a little extra and the 7L's are overkill. The Roth's are about half a kilo lighter (stamped weight) than the Fabers, have a slightly longer next, and a slightly differently shapped bottom. Personally, if I lost 1kg, by replacing the Faber inboards, with Roths, I'd only need to slap on an extra 1kg of lead!! |
