| Re: Vision screen mark Hi, I got my new Inspo Vision just after the new year. Initial pool training went fine until I used it in a really warm pool where I noticed the exact same symptoms that you have. I spoke to APD and they said persevere and see what happens. It didn't get any better so I ended up returning the unit to APD who later returned it after full testing, saying that it was within working limits. They also said that it was their latest design handset with all fixes incorporated so far. They did ask if I had removed the backplate to the handset to change the straps with the other loop they supply, saying that over tightening the screws could leave these bruise marks on the screen and that the marks generally come from excess pressure from the back of the screen rather than the front. All that said, I had lowered the brightness of the LCD screen in an attempt to conserve battery power during all this time. When it came back from APD I turned it up more and the effects are alot less prominent. I can't say that I am completely happy because if I had a watch showing the same problems I would take it back and expect a change, so why would I be happy with it after paying so much for a new unit. I've got to say that I do love it though ![]() Regards Stewart |

| Re: Vision screen mark Mine is back at APD for the "sun spot problem" getting replaced free of charge right now. I would contact them and see if they will take it in on warranty.

| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Vision screen mark I sent my head back to AP in March 08 with a burn spot on the screen, the unit was 14 months old and the spot was making it impossible to read the No1 cell readout, the problem wasn't initially visible till I started doing my Mod 2 and going deeper, till at 65 mtrs it was so bad I couldn't read the No1 cell readout. I called AP and they told me to send the head back and the handset would be replaced under warranty, which they did along with a service and the replacement of one of the coax connectors. The problem it's self appeared to be a pressure related issue as the spot was darker the deeper I went. |

| Re: Vision screen mark As stated above: The sun spot issue is a very common problem. It dates back before 2007. I had it. Fixed by SDS free of charge even after my warranty expired. I still have a small spot but it has never effected my use of the hand set. |

| Re: Vision screen mark I have my inspo vision now since last June and i also have this sunspot. It is so far after (9 dives) not very immanent but clearly visible. I have no problem reading the 1st cell. What shall i do, waiting for the first service of the head/ electronics and then requesting them to look into this sunspot phenomenon as well?
