| Vision Electronics and Computer Viruses Hi all My desk top at home would appear to have got a virus on it , not sure which as yet.I occasionally connect my Inspo Vision to the desktop and was wondering if anyone out there has had experience of whether the Inspo can be effected as well. I've fired up the electronics and all seems fine, oxygen injecting to maintain set point etc. Last time I spoke to APD about such things (probably last year) they baffled me with lots of techno bable and said it should be fine. BR & safe divin Grahjam |

| Re: Vision Electronics and Computer Viruses The short answer is very unlikely. This is because the vision electronics are basicly an embedded controller. That is they do not run an operating system like "Windows". Most viruses are targeted toward main stream computers, PCs mostly, but yes they are out there for apples. In order to infect your vision someone would, most likely, have to write one to target it. Most people who write viruses don't no what a rebreather is or the would spend all their time and money on them and not hacking, like me. So I wouldn't worry. Just make sure you keep some good antivirus on your PC. |

| Re: Vision Electronics and Computer Viruses CONCUR with NO RISK to YBOD by PC Virus! A Virus has to be tailored to the specific system (OS), exploit known loopholes, and dump it's payload using file storage/retrieval protocols etc. To suggest this is possible is akin to us breathig water OK, rather than atmospheric gas! The Inspiration electronics is HARDWIRED (on silicon chips) and does not have large data storage or processing facilities nor standard input devices either! UNLESS you are Jeff Goldblum (Independence Day Movie w/ Will Smith) and you can successfully interface with the ALIEN spaceship and Computer Servers... plant the virus... and make good the getaway!
