| Re: Travel frame for Inspiration and Evolution Some pictures of a modified production model. It is modified because of the punched holes on the lid, the standard version doesn't have the holes. We don't want to offer the holes as optional feature since it takes too long to punch the holes thus drive the manufacturing cost which will reflect on the selling price. The standard production rate is an average of 2 frames per day since it is not the primary business for the shop. So if anyone of the paid group has a trip coming up soon, please inform PM me so I could move you up the shipping list!

Phi,It is modified because of the punched holes on the lid, the standard version doesn't have the holes. We don't want to offer the holes as optional feature since it takes too long to punch the holes thus drive the manufacturing cost which will reflect on the selling price. Couple of questions: 1. How much weight was shaved off by punching all the holes? 2. Is there a possibility of air getting trapped in the shell at normal diving attitudes ...and if so is it worth punching a few strategically placed holes (or is that why the top is sloped!?) 3. How did you punch the holes - so that those of us who fancy it could locate a machine shop etc who could do it for us!!) Regards Steve |
