I will discuss with the team.

For the moment, I think it might be an optional item so people do not have to pay for something they might not need/want.

Re: Travel frame for Inspiration and Evolution

I would keep it off and save weight people can have it on their backplate if they want.

Re: Travel frame for Inspiration and Evolution

Please excuse a silly question. I have only used the standard AP wing and harness, as I wasn't into backplates on OC and find the "as is" setup very comfortable.

Do you need to use a backplate with this rig? Could I just attach the standard AP wing and harness through two bolt holes to the travel frame?

The standard AP wing and hardness should have 2 mounting holes 11" apart (standard industry standard) which you could use to mount anything to using 2 bolts/nuts.

So you don't have to use the backplate system with it.

BTW, the 2 bolts on the Travel Frame could be adjusted to any height along the frame as you like to best suit your trim. Also, the distance between the bolts is adjustable in 1" increment as well in case you have something that doesn't use the standard industry 11" spacing.

It would depend on the weight of your particular backplate, wing, unit, light, accessories and etc. So I can't tell you the exact weight for your particular set-up.

The frame itself is ~2-kg/4.5lb. The original plastic case from APV weighs more.

However, besides saving weight while travel, the idea is to save volume for packing as well. And unlike the case, you could use any tanks with the frame.

Re: Travel frame for Inspiration and Evolution

One more question:
How is the dil/O2-manifold attached into the frame?
Is it the same style as in original AP-case?

You could see from the 3rd picture on post #35 that the manifold is attached to the frame in the same manner as the AP-case.
