| Re: 3 Cell Back Up On Inspiration I'm using a VR3 as backup connected to one cell. The reading is accurate but a tad slow. The Vision updates faster. Would it be a problem? I don't think so. But I would never dive a rebreather based on a VR3 connected to one cell. There is no incompatibility betwenn a VR3 and a VISION, both use Bühlmann, the only thing is that the GF parameters are not the same on both computers, but you can change that (I use mostly 30/85). Furthermore, the GF functionality is only available with Trimix on the VISION, with NITROX you can only choose a conservatism factor between 1 and 5 (3 from factory). Everything is clearly explained in the VISION manual. The other problem is the deco algorithm. The VR3 uses Buhlmann combined with deep stop. The Vision uses Gradient Factors. Both are rather incompatible. The VR3 is more conservative and starts with deeper stops. Cheers Humuhumu

Everything is clearly explained in the VISION manual. What you will find is that the Pursuit is much more flexible. Your deep stops follow an actual decompression profile calculated from compartments which VR3 owners might find novel. Your diving style may change and you may want to change your Vision gradient factor. It is easy to match a Pursuit number for number. Our last dive with this system was a bottom time on the wreck at 55m of 68 mins. After a long ascent, when the vision and pursuit finally cleared, they were within a minute or so of each other. Both were set to 15/85. Thats confidence making, and so is having all three cells on your independant secondary.Cheers Humuhumu I hope you find what your looking for. Brent
