The wiring was crap, they do the job of maintaining a useable ppo2 unless if messes up. Many people have upgraded to the vision - i for the moment have stayed with the classic only real problem is no hud. I would go for the vision if you can afford it.

Re: Good to know stuff before purchasing

I would do the training first and buy an unit after.

A couple of reasons:

you don't know what the counterlung size means, or which wing or harness size,

you don't know what to dive without an ADV (with flowstop of course) means, try it and you will see,

so my recommendation, dive first, buy after: exactly the unit you want, you need and you will love...

Personally I would recommend a new Inspiration or Evolution (this depends of your size and needs), but with Vision. Try both units (Inspiration and Evolution) and make your choice after. The unit will cost you a huge amount of money and so, it has to be perfect.

Have fun in Sweden !

Cheers

or?

The handsets are made in plastic and you have to treat them nicely to avoid cracking them. The molex connectors (if fitted) should be replaced to coax-connectors for better cell-readings (corrosion can give strange cell-readings). Other than that I must say that they do their job very well and keeps the po2 at a steady level.
