Just can navigate to the log files in log viewer or to the latest firemare in communicator. I wonder if its trying to look at a file location that doesn't exist anymore may have to try registry hunting.ANyone know where the software stores its settings?

It may be a silly question, but have you upgraded the PC software? That needs to change before you can do the downloads (as I understood it). I did that and didn't experience the issues that you have.Just can navigate to the log files in log viewer or to the latest firemare in communicator. | Custom Title Allowed! ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Vision Upload problem (software) Ever tried to just open the logfile from the Windows browser to see if this works. The file should be assoiciated with the APLogviewer so double clicking on the logfile should open it in the viewer automaticaly. Never seen this but I usually open a file from the recent file list and than jump in the viewer to the last log which is the latest I downloaded. Cheers, Paul |

I'll have a proper look into it tonight, I'm sure it's jsut my PC being usless. Now where's my savings for an iMac ![]()

| Custom Title Allowed! ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Vision Upload problem (software) For as far as I'm aware the viewer is looking in the download directory as defined in the communicator. If the system opens the communicator if you doubleclick the logfile there is something wrong with the file associations. You can fix thaty manually or just uninstall and reinstall to programs again (easiest) Cheers, Paul |

I wonder if its trying to look at a file location that doesn't exist anymore may have to try registry hunting.ANyone know where the software stores its settings? the communicator does not store path to particular files, but you will find two directories for upload and download (Download Directory and Upload Directory in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\APD\APDCommunicator\Set tings) which should point to what you configured in the software. the log viewer also stores a directory name (Default Directory in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\APD\APDLogViewer\Settin gs) which points to the directory containing your log files. hope that helps somehow... cheers --bruno
