Backplate & Harness

Any recommendations on which Wing & backplate to fit to my Inspiration Vision.
I find the APD a bit of a pain also is it easy to change over.

You can fit a normal st/st or ally back plate on to the Inspiration with regarding the ridge where the manufold is i just packed this out with a couple of washers on the bottom bolt so this made it leavel, with the wing i use the custom divers VBS wing on my unit.

You can use a nomal wing but you might have to cable tie the top 3-4 loops so the top of the wing does NOT expand on to the hoses when the wing is inflated

Yep it is on the new case mine is from Sept 07. Fitted the Deep Sea Supply plates and works a threat, also use the vbs wing. ( first dive today and I like the lift , no more swallowing water) Washers would be fine too.

We do a great backplate that works great with the Custom Divers Sport harness.
Our bone backplate was developed when the Submatix came out, we made them for Abyss. Now marketed under our own name and polished. Yummy.

Three of us have fitted Agir 5 kg s/s backplates with their one piece harness to our Visions which works very well and is easy to fit.

We're still using the Inspo wings.

Goodbye all that padding that takes forever to dry, goodbye four floaty straps, goodbye waist weight pockets!

We attach our CL's with bungee to the waist section of the one piece harness.

Martin Robson of Eau2 Technical Training EAU2 Technical Diver Training Home Page sells the Agir backplate and harness on his website.
