![]() ![]() | APD Dive Communicator issues My first trouble shooting included a call to SDS, then un-instal and re-instal of AP communicator and Dive log and Driver for the usb. I am still having issues with download. I can't get past 8-12% download then I get a pop up saying "downloading data failed" has anyone run into this, and if so, do you have a suggestion for me to try? I am running windows XP, so that shouldn't be the problem. thanks in advance!!!!!!!!

| Totally Submerged Current Rebreather/s: | Re: APD Dive Communicator issues Hi, I have a similar issue, but downloading reach 56% then it gives me a message that download has failed. I called APD and they said that it might be the USB connector and to test that they asked me to send them the lid which I haven't had time to do yet. Although a few issues to consider. Make sure that the software you are installing on your PC is the latest that came with the software update because if you have updated the software of the unit then it will have some compatibility issue with the old software installed on the pc. As well after installing the software on your PC try to restart your computer before you get it connected to the unit. As well try to use new batteries before you link it up. I got some of these tips from Dave Thompson but unfortunately they didn't work out for me, but might be some help to you. Best Regards. Wael

I had exactly those problems until I did that. The one on the CD didn't cut it for my PC, but the latest one from the vendor website (Gembird IIRC) fixed it and it's worked fine ever since.I have a similar issue, but downloading reach 56% then it gives me a message that download has failed. Wael FWIW, I think running XP was exactly the cause of the problem!! Good luck,

![]() ![]() | Re: APD Dive Communicator issues come on.. own up! How did you fix it?!!! It's slightly embarrassing ![]() ![]() you see the most obvious, seemed to elude me. I couldn't be that much of an idiot.........or am I? ![]() yep! I had the head serviced in Feb. and it was upgraded to the newest software. So, that meant that I never had to download the new upgrades at home. you guessed it, all I had to do was upgrade my Communicator and Log View software to be compatible with the new software. I hope someone can learn from my mistake. I guess it pays to check the obvious first. ![]()
