I had a few meters of 35mm POM rod left over from a project. ?Andrew-John They were nice and machined the tool in two hours. I was going for a week long diving trip to Norway the next day. DO NOT DISASSMEBLE THE HOSE FITTINGS WITHOUT PROPER TOOL AND SPARES. I almost learned this the hard way. The fittings were easy to disassemble without the hose tool. Putting it back together was impossible without the tool. I also once broke one fitting. -Pasi |

| Re: Mouth Piece hoses I did cut 8 rings away from both sides. It feels better now. I also turn T:s in the counterlungs so that hoses going down goes also outwards 10...15 degrees. Jukka |

| Re: Mouth Piece hoses Just a thought... Maybe you should not cut them too short. I remember reading about an incident where a diver, after sitting at the bottom for a while, looking at some of those noisy bubblers storming by, found himself court in fishing line. Got himself free by sliding out of his webbing, and sliding around to the back of his Rebreather, to cut the lines. Maybe you could compact the hose lengthwise with some rings and Velcro. and when pulling on the hose, the Velcro would open and you have a full length hose. (and for a short while a little larger whatsitcalled "respirator volume") Last edited by 2stoned : 30th October 2005 at 23:53. |
