| scrubber head Inspo vision Hi there, Just got my new Inspo vision delivered and been out with it already a couple of times. Great improvement with HUD and new electronics (incl. temp stick). The only real difficulty I experience is to get the scrubber head of after the dive. Although AP has really done a great job in reducing the prep time with the new scrubber 90 degrees screws, I am experiencing difficulties in getting the head of in a normal way. Maybe it will go smoother in time but I wonder if anyone else has had the same problem??? JOS |

| Jos, hoi ... have the same problems as you. Really fun with cold fingers!! The way I do it is by gripping canister between knees, placing fingers under the two wide lips and pressing down on two of the knobs.. but it is bloody tight. Can't think of an easier way. But a bit worried about the stress it is putting on the knobs. Will see if it settles down in time - but then again that might mean the o-ring is wearing - increasing the chance of a leak. Great otherwise though isn't it. Have you noticed the timer issue - or do you have the Trimix deco software?? Daag, Steve |

JOS I have great problems getting the head out of the scrubber canister; Mike at AP suggested when I went into the factory that a little bit of O2 grease on the O-ring around the top should help. It did attract dirt, grit, dust etc not particularly good. But if you can be extremely pedantic with it, it works. Or you can try wrenching it out and hurting your fingers as I usually end up doing. The underneath of the head where they suggest you pull from are not solid and the lattice structure digs into my little fingers Somebody did suggest to me, to de-pressurize it by blowing down the section where the exhale lung attaches to the canister and it should in theory pop off... however I've never got it to work Hope this is of some help ![]()

JOS If it is VERY stiiff then you can take it out of the unit, connect the exhale hose to the top of the scrubber (So it's looped both ends onto the scrubber)... undo the three catches (make sure you do this!!!) and then let the O2 solenoid inject... once is normally enough... it should just pop off. Clearly there are risks in doing this... Make sure you undo the quick release lugs... if it doesn't pop after the first injection cycle don't just keep pressurising the system. It worked well for me whilst my unit was bedding in. Mark |
