We have a worm drive hose clamp with a D ring attached to it. The hose clamp has been placed permanently about 20cm from the base of one of our 88cuft bailouts. Reels are clipped to the D ring. When the cylinder is clipped on, the reels sit ontop of the cylinder and to the rear out of the way.

Yeah, after a few years of diving the unit, there are a couple of APD design decisions made that I vehemently disagree with. Having the rings attached to the buoyancy device's shell is one of those decisions. They claim it's strong enough, and I know of no one with a problem, but it seriously worried me, particularly whilst walking up the beach with a few bottles still clipped. Just seems like a lot of stress on some not-so-strong fabric. In addition, the D-ring also gets put in a funny spot and weird angle back there which makes it very difficult to access, compared to a normal positioning on the hip.

I tried that with the Prince Albert, but had issues with the cath.

Sounds like a good Idea
Thanks

This question is for Inspo divers who clip their Bail out cylinders on each side, clipped to front of armpit D rings and wing D rings
Chest to waist.
It snugs them in better. I'm using steels so they tuck in below me rather than waving around in the breeze getting in the way of my reach for the dil/o2 valves.

Got primary reel and backup reel to clip on, don't want them hanging below the body.
Where do you clip yours on?
I put the DSMBi and reel on the wing ring. This means it doesn't hang below the stages.
I have a distance line on the other side which I could use with the spare blob but it is fitted with a 20m spool and I figure I get to 20m fast enough on most schedules not to worry about swapping things about.

Only one stage, no torch, old dry suit, grief it's nearly four years ago.
