<shrug>
So I needed some cells and liked the new handset straps and my old Apeks flowstop is blowing bubbles and it was so easy to just tick the box for that as well...

I can see the online store is going to be a total liability.

A liability for AP?
Or a liability for us in that it makes it too easy to spend money on Inspo consumables, spares, go-faster stripes, etc, etc....

Re: New solenoid

I like this part if is true: Much lower power consumption - half of the original - resulting in significantly longer battery life, Nominal consumption = 0.6Watts
Not sure I understand how to fit it, old one was easy to change with a soldering iron ans then some heat shrink. If i saw a picture of the new connection it would be easier to see how to fit it. Problem is I already have a spare old one which cost about £40 and the new is £85, is it worth it ??

Its about time they upgraded their solenoids.. The snaptite solenoid that the Hammerhead has been using from the beginning has had this rating..

Re: New solenoid - delivery date slipping

Looks like the delivery of the new solenoid from APD has slipped into May08.

Apparently they have been testing it for last 12 months.....

The web site says '1ST SHIPMENT SOLD OUT - Next Shipment - expected May 2008'

Brent: this sounds similar to the solenoid you are using??

Thumbs up Re: New solenoid

ours are in, made from stainless steel we are using a different configuration to the one ap seem to be using, but ours can only purchased from us and we made ours to handle the harshest environments,
we have been testing our for over a year and on deep dives with out a beat missed,
i have been updating our website all day to show a load of new stuff coming out in the "coming soon" page, as well as updating older pages,
there are a few projects we would like to share with you but I'm sure we will be copied before we release so for now you will have to use your imagination.
i've put up a couple of special offers on the site as well.
kind regards john routley

No, far from it. Ours is stainless and oxygen cleaned by the manufacturer in a clean room. We didnt go for the very cheap nickel brass ones that have rusted.
Still, you pays your money........
