Suit inflation bottle on an Evo

Just wondering if anybody has mounted a suit bottle (1ltr Ali) on an Evo without using the standard AP kit. I did try that set up but the clamp is bigger than the bottle & it makes it sit well off the unit. Has anybody used cam bands or somit else that would keep the bottle closer.

Cheers
Derek

Use a standard velcro argon band for the bottle, as you would with a backplate; Thread the bolt through the pre-molded hole in the case.

I loop a thin bungee around the valve to hold it tight; I feed it through the lower hole, and put a washer inside the case, looped in, so it can't pull through.

No real difference from OC, other that it's mounted on the case, instead of the backplate, but it's just as easy to open/close the valve.

I didn't care for the bottle being mounted on the case. I went back to my OC method. I use a piece of weightbelt webbing and connect it to my backplate with a book screw. I then use a piece of 1/8" shock cord to keep the bottle secure. The shock cord is also attached to the backplate and looped over the bottle valve. I find access to the valve easier and it's a more streamlined profile.
