Inspiration with TransPac Harness?

I'm looking for opinions on using Dive Rite's TransPac Harness with an Inspiration. I'm currently using Dive Rite's TransPlate Harness and it works great with the modification I made to the counter lungs (easy on/off like the Meg's). Anyway, I find that the unit is overly negative when diving in a wetsuit and a dry suit with light under garments. I'm using AP's wing that comes with the unit and like it very much. I find their harness horrible which is why I'm considering the TransPac. Any thoughts or experiences with the TransPac would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your replies.

Re: Inspiration with TransPac Harness?

I have not used the Transpak but have tried another soft harness. I felt that the unit moved to much on my back compared to a BP.

Re: Inspiration with TransPac Harness?

I have never used a backplate and harness setup, just BC's.

I am now using a transpac with my Optima and it seems like a great thing. It is adjustable to do anything that you can imagine. It fits great and keeps my Rebreather in place without "wobble".

Re: Inspiration with TransPac Harness?

I used a Transpac on my Inspo.
very comfortable, but it may have been due to being more used to it - I used it in the bad old days of O/C.

I now use a DiveRite SS Backplate and Transplate harness, not as comfortable as the Transpac, but I like the Backplate.

It was particularily less stable with a stage bottle attached to either or both sides.
