How much Deco

Hi hoping to take Mod 1 this year (still saving)
Could you give me some example's of how much deco you have had to do.
Looking at no more than 50mtr range.
Are there any tables I could look at.

Cheers

Have a look at V Planner. It has free trial period that should answer most of your questions.

V-Planner VPM & VPM-B dive decompression software

in general mod 1 is limited to 40m no deco (for some agencies... VERY limited deco is allowed)

Re: How much Deco

When I first started I used DDPlan ( DDPLAN [Installation] ) to make various tables of differing depths to work out what I can and can't do. I was amazed at the no stop times for shallow dives.

Re: How much Deco

Hi,As mentioned previously depending with which agency you do your Mod 1 with depends on what you can do.I did PSAI and my depth limit is 45M and I am allowed to do up to 5 min deco.Using V planner the times aren't great for no deco diving at depths deeper than 25M. Below this the no deco times are longer than OC.HTHJohn

Re: How much Deco

When I did my course we racked up a small decompresion obligation on a 40m dive but it had cleared before we got to the stop depth.

IANTD 1.2 constant PO2, air dilutant charts give NDL as

42m 7 min
39m 9 min
36m 11 min
30m 21 min

if you sit at 42m for 30 minutes you end up with about 21 min of total deco.

The vision electronics and V planner will give you differant numbers of course, probably much better ones since they are not from a table.

Re: How much Deco

My Head is battered,
Just got to grips with V-Planner (big thanks to Cramerdn )but don't get it.
I want to buy a rebreather so I can stay down longer, but if I put in 40mtr dives for 30 mins I get shit loads of deco.
If I stay on nitrox I get less ??????????
Am I missing something.

Cheers

Taza
