| Re: Service? The head is the main item that needs to be sent back. Ap normally charge £150 approx to do this, but obviouly more if things need fixing. Depends on your point of view on servicing, many inspo owners dont have a yearly service (including me), its a similar state to the regualtors. Its quite a small package so shouldnt be to bad. Everything else regs, and hoses can be sorted at a local dive shop or do it yourself. |

| Re: Service? So that they can find cracks in your handset and replace them. So they can tell you that the loom needs to be completely replaced. I am not saying these thing might not be true or needed. Just advising you to do a search and read the posts so that you are not surprized when you get a LARGE bill. John |

| Totally Submerged Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Service? Hi, It actually depends on how much you use your unit. I personally believe if the unit is dived regularly (i. e. on daily basis or several times a week) then it would be wise to send the lid for annual service. BUT, it will also matter how you take care of the unit after each dive. So basically, I would say it's a matter of relativity. The usual annual service as the guys mentioned would be First Stages, ADV, Mouth Piece, tanks' visual inspection, general hoses inspection (I actually do that before each dive including the inspection of the O-Rings). I also replace my Oxygen cells every 15 months in order to make sure that I'm on the safe side when it comes to the cells' lifetime, even though sometimes the cell might die before that if it was faulty. In my case, I would send the lid for service every 2 years or so. Best Regards. Wael

| When you send your unit back for a service, any critical upgrade parts are generally fitted at the same time. that'll be a new battery box on a classic then If you dont send it in, you dont get them. Services are known to be as little as £35 ish to £5-600. ![]() since coax loom is an optional extra i fail to see what else they actually upgrade on the thing. my controller modules still have the same serial numbers so no change there not going to mention the rest as people are sick of hearing about it. ![]() on a more serious note any updates on the testing of this new pursuit head of yours ,its about the only thing that might tempt me off my set at the moment. | New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Service? Just sent my Vision head back to the factory for an annual inspection and maintenance. They will look at the lid, the solenoid, connections and the battery box etc for signs of corrosion, wear and damage. A basic lid service will cost £35.25, but when they receive it they will carry out a pre-assessment and let you know if any other work is required, and at what additional cost. There is no need to return the canister, lungs or hoses - the maintenance on these is routine and unless you have any specific problems then there is no need to return them. APD can however service the first stages, the cost for this is £38.33 each. These costs include return postage in the UK. 3 new cells fitted when your lid is at the factory costs £171.00 from APD. |
