Thinking of upgrading my Inspo head

Hammerhead or Vision.

Which one's best?
Is there any other choice?

I am obviously a little biased on this subject, but I would vote for the HammerHead. I like the "threat matrix" that Kevin has used in the development of it. Deco in both handsets and a HUD are added points in my book.

This is coming from a stupid diver who has no experience with a Vision

Absolutely, the Deep Pursuit controller, see here:

Deep Pursuit rebreather controller

I took a look at the NEC and if I had an Inspiration this would be on it.

Looks like it might be an interesting alternative once it gets a track record.

if you want track record, go with a Shearwater GF and HUD and scrap the solenoid altogether.

Go for the Hammerhead. The new revision with the delrin handsets is really nice. Also, if you are going to be doing any deep diving, you will want the second handset. The backup decompression is also a really nice feature. I believe it is also about half the price of the Vision upgrade. You will also have your old electronics as a spare, which is always nice.

Ditto on that one!! Having the option of having dual deco computers is a nice advantage.

Since you live in the UK, I would recommend the Vision. Support from APD will be faster and cheaper. Shipping a rebreather back to the US for maintenance is expensive, not to mention the problems you can have with customs.

Personally, I would wait for the Deep Pursuit or go for the Vision electronics.
