| NA ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | AP BOV and wireless WDC?? The AP BOV is still on track for a 2nd Q release. Also, I heard that AP is developing or looking into a wireless wrist WDC as an alternative to current system. Not sure if it's true or not, but getting rid of that WDC hose would be a good thing. Has anyone heard this as well? I've bugged Nicky enough lately about other things, I'll save her from this..but if someone else wants to ask... ![]() J |

Anyone who's had a wireless tank transmitter will know these are horrible things, not even worth trusting with tank data let alone a rebreather display! Cables are good and stops the handset falling off into the abyss :-)

| Re: AP BOV and wireless WDC?? ...Anyone who's had a wireless tank transmitter will know these are horrible things, not even worth trusting with tank data let alone a rebreather display!... Yes and no.I have used terrible and unreliable wireless device (i.e. Cochran Nemesis) in the past - a long time ago though, circa 1990's. But I also have had great experience with Suunto wireless (i.e. Vytec) for a few years - except it has a setting issue for Rebreather application. If shut off valve and drain pressure, can't resume connection if turn pressure back on while still u/w. And also very reliable experience with Oceanic wireless (i.e. Atom-2) for the last year+. Of course, I agree not a smart idea to rely on wireless as the ONLY and PRIMARY method for PO2 display. I believe APD device was to be used as a secondary display so the cabled primary could be tucked away neatly. |

Hi, I have been using my Oceanic Data Mask with the wireless transmitter om my inspiration and I usually do cold dives with bad visibility (About 2 degrees Celcius with about 1 - 3 meters visibility). So far, I never had any issues with that and at some points you would appreciate having the info you need in front of your eyes (literally) . Although I have a micro-manometer attached to my first stage as secondary alternative.Best Regards. Wael

Hi, In the display, I get when using the Guage Mode: Actual Depth Tank Pressure Remaining Air Time Actual Time Dive Time Temperature When I dive OC then the Mask is used as a complete computer with Nitrox capability. You can also set a fixed PO2 then it will give you a warning when the PO2 limit has been reached. Best Regards. Wael

| Re: AP BOV and wireless WDC?? Hi, Many thanks - I hadn't really worked out what it showed from a cursory read of the literature. In the display, I get when using the Guage Mode: Actual Depth Tank Pressure Remaining Air Time Actual Time Dive Time Temperature When I dive OC then the Mask is used as a complete computer with Nitrox capability. You can also set a fixed PO2 then it will give you a warning when the PO2 limit has been reached. Best Regards. Wael Remaining air time must be a truly huge number on CCR :-) Cheers,
