Evolution VS Inspiration Vision for Tech My logic would tell me that I should buy the Inspiration for the larger 3L bottles and the longer 3 hour saturation time for technical CCR diving. What are everyone's thoughts. I am planning on completing the initial CCR course this year and putting in my 100+ hours in throughout the summer and fall. Then completing the tech/trimix courses next year. I just don't want to buy the Evolution and find out that I need the larger capacity tanks and scrubber weight. Are there any Evolution divers out there that have experience with this?

| Re: Evolution VS Inspiration Vision for Tech My logic would tell me that I should buy the Inspiration for the larger 3L bottles and the longer 3 hour saturation time for technical CCR diving. Hi NEDIVER, I had the same question in my mind only a few months ago and so tried diving both RBs. My height is 5 ft 6 in, and at least for me, YBOD was too big. Evo was concise and easily to handle. As you are aware, the only drawback for Evo is its smaller scrubber canister, but the difference is not so important for me, meaning that I am not a serious deep sea diver. Besides, as you may know, it would be much easier to travel with Evo because of its smaller canister and tanks. As I described in my post in ScubaBoard.com a few days ago, I had a hard time traveling with Dolphin before and am sensitive about this issue. KCA

Re: Evolution VS Inspiration Vision for Tech I have the EVO and don't regret getting the smaller can with the temp stick. I routinely get 3 hours out of it in cold water (6-10) and like the smaller size for travel. I am considering getting a Ali Box which would allow me to use any size tanks when traveling. Rob

Re: Evolution VS Inspiration Vision for Tech Buy the Inspiration with vision and a travel frame.I have a classic Inspiration and use one scrubber fill for 3 - 4 hoursin the german sea´s. So i can do 2 -4 dive´s a day with one fill. Easy diving and relaxed surface intervall, no tank´s filling and no scrubber filling. I use a travel frame too. Cool pice of kit and very easy to handle. And you hear ohh´s and ahh´s from your buddy´s . You can use 3 - 7 Liter tanks. So you leave your tanks at home and use what your dive destination have. Cheers Markku ![]()

Re: Evolution VS Inspiration Vision for Tech If you are buying new, ask about the fusion. It's an Inspo vision can in an evo like shell with 2litre cylinders. It's not advertised yet, but I know there are 1 or 2 out there. HTH Simon A

Re: Evolution VS Inspiration Vision for Tech If you are diving the fusion (Insp. scrubber with 2L tanks) what is the limiting factor. Are you limited by the size of the 2L of gas, or will you still have gas left after the larger scrubber is saturated?

Are you limited by the size of the 2L of gas, or will you still have gas left after the larger scrubber is saturated? If you are going to be doing deep dives, you will most likely be carrying offboard tanks that you can plug into if you are concerned about depleting the 2L tanks.
