![]() | Re: Evolution VS Inspiration Vision for Tech If you are diving the fusion (Insp. scrubber with 2L tanks) what is the limiting factor. Are you limited by the size of the 2L of gas, or will you still have gas left after the larger scrubber is saturated? the normal o2 consumption is 1-1.5 ltr a min so a 2ltr would last around 5 hrs , pumped to 232 bar ,provided you had a booster

And reg/solenoid will probably not able to work to zero bar tank pressure... So realistically, (200bar) x (2L) / 2LPM = 200 mins =~ 3 hours... which is still a long duration. |

Because it is a smaller size for traveling. The inspo box doesn't quite meet hand luggage dimensions, AFAIK it is an official AP product. Also if you get the fusion and decide you want larger cylinders you can bolt it all onto a frame and connect up any cylinders you want (or buy an inspo case!) ![]() | Re: Evolution VS Inspiration Vision for Tech FWIW…I had the same question when deciding on mine. Being a bigger guy (6’4 – 240 lbs) I assumed bigger is better and would fit me better, and I considered the Insp. But I was steered towards the Evo by my instructor who has dived many different units, and I trusted his experience. It turned out to be a good decision. No regrets. It is not likely I will be doing a dive where a few hours will not be sufficient. I like the smaller size unit as it is more compact, and (IMO) better suited for wreck penetration, etc. As others mentioned, on any longer dives, you are going to have plenty of additional gas that you can plug into if nec. I can’t imagine the need for a larger unit. I have back up bottles, so I do not feel I need a full weekend’s supply of gas pre-packaged for me to carry on my back. Also, I believe the crated shipping weight of my unit is just under the 50lb limit for airlines. Not sure what the Insp. Is but imagine it would be a little heavier? |
