Solenoid Hose protector

Anyone know the thread format for the low pressure connector between the solenoid inlet on the new Insiration / Evolution scrubber head and the O2 supply hose?

I would like to get hold of or even make up a male and female protector for the connection so that I can prevent damage to the threads on both parts and prevent crud / junk etc entering either ocmponent when the scrubber is out of the unit

Anyone had similar thoughts or managed to get blanks?

Regards

Steve

Oxycheq has them for both ends (hose and lid).

Look in the Rebreather accessories section...

i didnt even know some one all ready made them .....oh well i now make them too!

Thorfinn is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Solenoid Hose protector

Looks like a good idea - but what about the breathing hoses??!!

if you want to wash the scrubber down, would you not leave all the
hoses connected, and only disconnect them when the scrubber is
dry and ready for refilling, or have I missed something obvious?

Cheers

Hi Thorfinn
when I wash mine down I leave all the breathing hoses connected, I never disconnect them from the scrubber body. If you're just rinsing off the scrubber, you can point the breathing hoses to the sky (if its in the bath) or to the ground (if its the hosepipe in the garden). But it is handy to be able to remove the scrubber and hoses from the main unit and wash it down separately - just makes it easier to move and wash the rest of the unit. For that, you now need to have a cap on the O2 feed / inlet. When you take the scrubber apart to dry it, then the caps are pretty much redundant , but they stop dust / slugs / centipedes etc getting in there whilst its hanging up somewhere.

Hence- I will probably get some , cause its a pain washing everything down all together.

cheers

Ed
