| I have come up with what I think is a great way to keep the top scrim (bottom scrim when filling the canister) securely in place. When trying to fill the canister especially on a windy boat the scrim in the bottom gets blown/flaps about until you have managed to get some Sofnolime in to hold it in place. I have used a canister spacer to hold the scrim in place, first I cut thought the spacer. Then I place a scrim on the open end of the canister, using the spacer with the two ends over lapping I pushed the scrim until it was just inside the top of the canister. I then marked the amount over overlap on the spacer, took the spacer out and trimmed off the amount that was overlapping (approx 25mm) cleaned up the ends and then used the spacer to push the scrim to the bottom (top when in use) of the canister |
