adding a Trans pac to an Inspo

Hello members, I have done most of my diving in a Trans pac I am wondering what the pros and cons are with putting it on my Inspo, the standard harness fits fine and is comfortable but its no Trans pac. Any help would be appreciated

Could this be because pulling counterlungs snug against your chest was never part of the Trans pac design specification?
I tend to get upset when people want to make a Rebreather, any rebreather, into a twinset lookalike. This is solving the wrong problems.

The inspiration harness is almost a direct copy of the origional style of transpac. I had the transpac2 fitted to my inspo but I found it rolled a little due to the soft backpack (like the standard harness does)

I found a transplate to be my favorite solution

As Stuart said, me and Gadget have transpacs on our megs and they work very well for me, but at the end of the day it comes down to personal choice and comfort, so all I can suggest is try it and see ! ! !

Have fun good luck and safe diving ......

Hi,

Where can I read this article, I am interested in modifying my Inspiration to a different wing and harness system?

I'd like to adapt mine so it's similar to a Hogarthian style set up, however the bolts are not long enough for me to fix my DiveRite classic wing and backplate on the unit. I'm assuming that my bolts are metric and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get longer bolts (imperial) suitable for the Inspiration unit?

Or any other suggestions would be appreciated?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Regards,
Andy

Nigel what is the problem I am missing? The trans pac is very similar to the standard harness if I change the harness I will make adapters for the counter lung attachments so they work the same way as they do to the standard harness. thanks for that link JH its what inspired me to ask the question about the trans pac. thanks everybody

I just dove my Inspiration with my backplate today and I have to say I'll never go back to the stock harness. I found that there was a big improvement in trim, amount of weight added to Rebreather, and comfort. Believe it or not WOB seemed improved because the position of the CL changed slightly.
