| God save the Queen Current Rebreather/s: | Alibox Does anyone know if an Alibox for an Ispiration will fit an Evolution. I know the Inspiration is taller to allow for the taller scrubber canister and larger tanks. Can a spacer be used at the bottom to raise the scrubber up?

Can a spacer be used at the bottom to raise the scrubber up? Yes a spacer can be used at the bottom of the scrubber to raise it up... While I have not used an Alibox with an Evolution, I have been diving one for quite a while with an Inspiration and have been very happy with it.. I would suggest sliding the tanks up and using the under part of the stand for a your suit inflation, backup O2 and or light battery.Good luck! | Re: Alibox I have one of the original designed titan boxes...I have an evolution housed in it...There are no troubles housing the scrubber or majority of the hoses.. The only problem is with the HP hoses. The AP first stages when screwed into the cylinder can bend the hoses awkwardly.. Whether a couple of right angle bends on the HP would fix the problem is something I havent tried.....Must remember to get some and give it a whirl!! |

| Re: Alibox I put my Evo into a Ali Box and it did fit. I made a spacer for the bottom and set the can on it. The hoses were a bit difficult to rout as I was trying to use the Tiger mounts I had modified. I ended up selling it because I did not like the extra length of the frame after diving it. I might be able to find a pic of the spacer if you are interested Rob |
